This four-movement sonata features oboe, violin and bassoon above the continuo. The "star" of the line-up is clearly the bassoonist (as so often in Fasch's output), with rapid leaps of tenths, and bars of semiquaver (sixteenth note) passagework: it's a real white knuckle ride!
