This fine cantata for the 3rd day of Whitsun is scored for SATB, flute, two horns in D, strings (including solo viola d'amore) and continuo. The opening chorale fantasy is followed by a Recitative and Aria pair for Bass (the latter featuring the viola d'amore). Then comes a Recitative and Aria pair for Soprano (this time the obbligato instrument is flute). After a short Recitative for Tenor, the opening Chorale is repeated with new words.
