Surviving in a manuscript in Cambridge, England, this four-part piece by one of J. S. Bach's pupils (and his son-in-law!) might actually have been intended either for keyboard, or even purely as a compositional exercise. In any case, the four parts are written out on separate staves and fit instruments of both the violin and viol family - and it sounds great!
