Oculi omnium~This edition of a fine motet for SAATTB has William Kempster's ficta and performance suggestions. It is also available a minor third higher, if the Altos struggle at the originally printed pitch. Gombert's inventive use of cross-rhythms and harmonic twists (some of his cadential formulae defy description, sometimes with three or four note clusters!) make his music a joy both to sing and to hear. This setting of verses from Psalm 145 is the Gradual for the 26th Sunday after Trinity.
