New Display Item~Famed in his own day as a virtuoso violinist (but also as a slightly difficult personality!) Veracini left a set of six overture suites, that survive in a Venetian manuscript. There are several strange details: firstly, the parts are labelled in French, and secondly there are two viola parts, but they are mostly in unison and when not, the second is given higher notes than the first...
