Giuseppe Tartini~~~~1603~1658~~
TartiniBlurb~These five sonatas are ideal pieces for students. Their technical demands are fairly minimal, but Tartini's melodic talents and simple harmonies make them very attractive and satisying to play.~~~1603~361~~
Sonata in D~The fourth of a set of 12 sonatas published in London in 1750 "at the composer's expence", this work has only two movements: an Andante followed by a two-part Allegro.

Sonata in F~This sonata (No. 6 in the set) comprises two binary movements, the first Adagio, and the second Allegro, and makes much of a constant play of varying dynamics.~~Score and parts|TAR003.2|Score|TAR003.1|~1603~354~Tartini, sonata, violin~
Sonata in A~The eleventh sonata of the 1750 London set comprises a binary Andante (taking the 1st violin out of first position!) and and exciting 3/8 Allegro with slurred triplets.~~Score and parts|TAR004.2|Score|TAR004.1|~1603~355~Tartini, sonata, violin~
Sonata in A~Similar in shape to Sonata 11, the final sonata of the 1750 set also has two binary movements. This time the principle interest in the Allegro assai second movement is chromatic.~~Score and parts|TAR005.2|Score|TAR005.1|~1603~356~Tartini, sonata, violin~
