O cecita del misero mortale~This cantata for five voices (SSATB), two violins, three violas and continuo (the manuscript mentions lute, harpsichord, organ, violone and lirone) survives in the Vatican Library, labelled "Oratorio" with the further remarks: "Con Strom se si vuole" (with instruments if you wish) and "Poesia del S. Gio: Lotti". The manuscript is incomplete, lacking some instrumental parts, and slightly corrupt, but we have filled the gaps and eliminated the errors. The piece lasts about twenty minutes.
