Magnificat in F
This is one of several settings Pachelbel made of 'Mary's Song'. It is scored for SATB, two violins, bassoon and continuo. The bassoon was a common bass instrument for string groups, but here it is even given a soloist role, duetting with the solo Alto. Works equally with solo voices or small choir.

Deus in adjutorium
This lavishly scored setting of the
Ingressus
to a Vespers service (the call to prayer, as it were) is among the most substantial pieces in our catalogue. Three violins, two violas da gamba and five solo voices are joined by a ripieno group of singers in a work that consists of several long sections.

Suite in G
This eight-movement suite for violin, two violas and continuo is one of the composer's few surviving instrumental works. Contrapuntal movements alternate with catchy dances.

Suite in F sharp minor
This edition is based on the only surviving source, a 19th-century score in the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin. The outlandish key should not put players off this lovely seven-movement suite, which is full of typical Pachelbel touches.
