Reinhard Keiser
KEI001 Mass in A minor
Edited by Brian Clark.
Nowadays much better known for his theatre music, Reinhard Keiser was obliged in later life to turn out quantities of sacred music, including this fine Missa brevis. The instrumentation given at the head of the piece is SATB (solo and tutti), strings and continuo, but there are indications elsewhere that suggest that Keiser expected wind instruments (oboes and / or recorders?) to play too.
Performing set: Two full scores, four vocal scores and single instrumental parts. Extras are available.
The first page of the score is here.

KEI002 Laudate pueri Dominum
Edited by Brian Clark.
Scored for SATB, two violins and continuo, this is an extensive setting of the psalm, showing Keiser's meoldic craft and contrapuntal skill. The final section is very dramatic.
Performing set: Six scores, set of single parts.
