Carl Hoeckh
Born in 1707 in Vienna, Carl Hoeckh was widely respected as a violinist and a teacher. Having worked as an itinerant musician for much of his early life, he took the position of Konzertmeister at the small court of Anhalt-Zerbst (where the Kapellmeister was Johann Friedrich Fasch) on the recommendation of Franz Benda (who had been offered the job after performing there).
HOE008 Parthia in D minor
Edited by Brian Clark.
Besides solo works for violin (including unaccompanied sonatas and concertos), Hoeckh composed much chamber music, including at least two sets of Parthias, or three movement trio sonatas. This one was published in C. P. E. Bach's 1770 Musikalisches Vielerley.
Performing set: Score, and a set of parts.

HOE009 Sinfonia in C
Edited by Brian Clark
The source material for this work is interesting. Two scores survive, the first of which may be in the composer's hand. It includes parts for oboes and bassoon. The second version (as published here) is in Johann Friedrich Fasch's hand and re-works the material for strings alone. It was copied at the same time as a sinfonia by Camerloher, and is only catalogued under the latter name! The wind parts are also printed as an appendix.

Performing set: Score and a set of single string parts; extras can be ordered using the dropdown box. If you would like to perform the piece with oboes, please contact us.
