This cantata was first performed on the 11th Sunday after Trinity, 1736. Each half opens with a tutti. In the first half, an aria for alto follows, then an accompagnato before the closing chorale. In the second half, the recitative precedes a soprano aria (with solo flute and strings), and the concluding chorale.
