This cantata for the 24th Sunday after Trinity (Sunday) follows the sequence: Tutti – Aria – Tutti – Aria – Recitative – Chorale – Tutti. It dates from 1719 and sets a text from the second of many cycles by the theologian, Johann Conrad Lichtenberg (1689-1751), which were written for Graupner.
